                      CHAPTER-35-SG-Y-2-S-2-SUMMER     

    Summer started for the residents of Oak Leaf and it came with hotter weather though there were a few times they had rain showers for part of the day.The families were all working very hard in their gardens and managing things very well at the time though plants went barren and got tossed out.
    Spring had gone by very quickly for the Oak Leaf residents though they'd started making small changes to their lots and were scaling back on the larger gardens.They were all grateful for the changes in their lives from where they'd been last year.

     They were all managing to get household chores done before going to their jobs later in the day on the days they had work.The days were longer for them and it was mostly hot and sunny even in the early part of summer.The Ivanovitch family had been sticking to their 9:30-10PM bedtimes while the Jankowskys were both getting to bed at 7:30-8PM every night after getting home from work.

    The summer days were longer for the residents of the town and it got light out earlier in the mornings and got dark later in the evenings.They were also perparing dinners and putting the leftovers away every night so they'd have food to eat on days they couldn't cook.The families were also getting savings built up for when they would be ready to start to raise their children and have babies.

    The families in town were getting on with their lives and building additions on their houses over the next few days.It was hot and mid summer arrived before anybody knew it because time was flying by so fast.They were keeping themselves busy and working very hard at their chores before heading out to work each day.The season was passing by so fast it would be over before too long.

    The leftovers in everybody's fridges were starting to go bad towards the later half of summer and they needed to wait for another harvest to cook any fresh meals because ingredients had run out in their fridges.Eli and Ami were eating spoiled salad for a few days while Tanner and Tracy had spoiled mac and cheese to eat.Both families also had spoiled waffles they were eating up.

    Tanner and Tracy got up one morning in late summer and were tending their garden all day before having to get ready to leave for work later in the afternoon.They'd forgotten it wasn't a work day though they needed the break before resuming the work in the garden.They were also stuck with no ingredients for cooking until they harvested more and remembered to keep them.

   Tanner ended up eating in the workshop while Tracy ate in the house.They went back to work on harvesting the last of the produce from their garden after eating dinner.There were more plants going barren and it was time to dispose of them before they kept trying to tend to them and only wasted their time.It was getting dark out as they ate dinner and they weren't finished with the garden yet.

    Eli and Ami Jankowsky were also busy studying and tending to their own garden one day in late summer with only a few days left before the end of the season.They studied on their iPads and tended to the garden for most of the day until having to get ready for work.They left for work at 3PM and had managed to do well at work until they got off at 7PM and had to get back home for the evening.

    They got the additions finished after work and decided to get ready for bed without changing the layout because they were tired and it was too late for that.They would have to pack everything up before they altered the layout because rooms were getting relocated and changed around.They were getting into bed and going to sleep by about 7:30 and they decided to make the changed later.

    Tanner and Tracy Ivanovitch were up early and ready to start tending to their garden on that day which was a special holiday and there was another day of summer after that day.They had to work through the entire morning to get most of the gardening done and that was just harvesting the produce.They'd still have plants to tend and dead ones needing to be thrown out because they went barren.

   They still had some work left in their garden in the early afternoon though it was mostly disposing of the dead plants after the last of the harvesting was done.They did manage to get to the festival hall by 3PM and were able to enjoy a few things there like sno cones and eating hotdogs in the contest.It was getting dark out just before they started getting ready to leave after setting off some fireworks.

    They'd gotten greeting card photos taken and used the washrooms before setting off the fireworks at 8:30 and it was time to leave for home after that.It wasn't too far to travel since it was a small town and they got home quickly and were able to start getting ready for bed.They both ate leftovers for dinner before getting themselves into bed at 10PM and sleeping after getting into fall clothing.

   Eli and Ami Jankowsky were up early on that final summer morning in 1846 and were ready to start tending their garden in the workshop quickly after getting ready for the day.They wanted to make sure they were ready for when fall arrived and brought colder weather with it as the seasons started to change.It would get colder and become rainy when fall arrived though it could be cold in the winter.
   Summer had been hot and sunny some days while it had rained and been chilly a few times during the season and one day had been very stormy.It was time to start planning for fall and to begin their preparations for winter since food might run out if they didn't start stocking it up right then.There were challenges with getting ready for colder seasons before the weather changed and forced them to take refuge in community lots until their house was finished.
